Who this covers

This page describes how illuminaterisk.ai handles information about people who visit it. Illuminate Risk is the trading name of the forensic practice operated by Blue Horizon Group LLC, Atlanta, Georgia.

It does not describe how client data is handled inside an engagement. That is governed by the engagement letter and, where one exists, a separate confidentiality agreement. For the platform, see the Terms of Service.

What is collected

Three things, and only when you cause them.

• What you type into the contact form. Your name, email address, company, optionally a phone number, the subject you selected, and your message. The submitting network address is recorded alongside it as a rate-limiting and abuse measure. This is stored in a private database so the enquiry can be read and answered.
• A name and address, if you leave one to get a sample report. The sample-report form is optional in full. There is a link to skip it and download anyway, and skipping sends nothing at all. If you do fill it in, the name, the address and which sample you asked for are stored so the report can be sent and followed up once. It does not subscribe you to anything.
• Anonymous analytics, if you accept them. Google Analytics records which pages were viewed and roughly where in the world the visitor was. The analytics script is not requested at all until you accept the banner, and never after you decline.

What is not done

• Nothing is sold, rented, or shared with data brokers.
• There is no advertising, no retargeting, and no cross-site tracking.
• You are not added to any mailing list by submitting the contact form.
• No account is created, and there is nothing to log into.

Confidentiality of enquiries

Enquiries frequently concern a suspected fraud, a transaction, or a matter in litigation. They are treated as confidential from the moment they arrive, they are read only by David Voorhees, and they are not discussed with anyone else without your agreement.

Please do not send documents, account data, or anything privileged through this form. If an engagement follows, a secure transfer method is arranged first.

Cookies

The only cookies set are the Google Analytics measurement cookies described above, and only after you accept. A single local browser flag records the choice you made about the banner so you are not asked again. You can clear or block cookies at any time without losing access to anything on this site.

Your choices

You can decline analytics on the banner, or clear the stored choice in your browser to be asked again. To have a contact-form submission deleted, email the address below and say so. It will be removed, and no reason is required.
